Our family did our annual fall trip to Chicago to go to the temple and to do some vacationing. It was actually sunny while we were there, which is one of the first times in Chicago that the sun was shining. It was so bright at the temple the kids had a hard time keeping their eyes open.

After we went to the Temple, we too the L train downtown so that Mya could go to the American Girl store and Marshal could go to the Lego store. Avonlea got a new baby doll too. The kids had fun on the train.

After we went downtown we saw our friends the Klingonsmiths who recently moved to Algonquin. The next day we went down to the Museum of Science and Industry. We went their this spring, but didn't have time to see everything. We started by seeing all of the things we didn't see in March. Marshal liked touring the U505 German Submarine, Mya liked the Smart House, and Avy liked the learning play area. Jeni thought the Smart House was amazing and Dave was amazed that the submarine had a crew of 59 people (because the inside was so small).
