Dave and Marshal went on their annual camping/backpacking trip to Rock Island state park last weekend. The weather turned out to be cold and damp, but Marshal said it was his funnest trip to Rock Island yet. They had a wild ride over there on the ferry (very large swells on Lake Michigan because of the storm), found two new geocaches, and saw some new things on the island. Dave enjoyed all of the wild raspberries that were ready to eat, and Marshal liked the small garter snake that lived near the camp.

Wow, Rock Island is so so cool! That looked like such a fun trip, despite the weather. That picture of the clouds over the water is awesome. It's so weird that I have a bunch of pictures of me and my friends sitting on that same "Welcome to Rock Island" sign... it's a very special place!
